Abstract

Efficient inventory management is a major challenge in the manufacturing industry, especially in companies engaged in the production of aircraft components such as PT XYZ. This study aims to improve raw material inventory management at PT XYZ, especially in the Regular Production category, by using the MUSIC-3D method. This method combines ABC, FSN, and SDE analysis to classify materials and determine management priorities based on usage value, consumption rate, and lead time. In addition, this study also calculates the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) using a simple probabilistic model to optimize order quantities and minimize inventory costs. The results of the study indicate that the application of the MUSIC-3D method can improve inventory management efficiency by focusing attention on materials with high value, high usage frequency, and long lead times. In addition, the results of the more efficient Simple Probabilistic EOQ calculation show a reduction in total inventory costs. This study contributes to a more structured and efficient inventory management at PT XYZ.
