Abstract

Hiang is a small farm reservoir (SFR) in Haur Kuning Village, Nusaherang Subdistrict, Kuningan Regency, West Java. Hiang is part of a local government program to accelerate the development of small farm reservoirs. Irrigation and tourism will be the two most important uses. The proposed location is topographically ideal because it is in the basin area and close to the irrigation area, allowing for close water distribution. With a watershed area of 34.86 Ha, Hiang will have an innundation area of 1 Ha and a capacity of 9800 m3. Hiang is a development priority SFR with a score of 57.69, and it will serve a 30Ha irrigation area with an average irrigation requirement of 0.76 l/s/ha. Based on the results of the water balance, It can meet water needs from November to March and from May to September. There is a water shortage between April and October. The 100-year plan flood discharge in the reservoir is 7,05 m3/s. Hiang has a potential sediment rate of 7,502 tons/year, or 8,253 m3/year.
