Analisis Efektivitas Desain Signage Wayfinding System Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakarta

Abstract

As one of Jakarta's cultural icons, Taman Ismail Marzuki offers a variety of facilities, necessitating an effective wayfinding system to facilitate visitor navigation. This study uses a qualitative method analyzed descriptively by collecting, clarifying, and interpreting data. Data were gathered through direct observation of the object being studied, documentation, interviews, and literature review. The focus of the research includes an analysis of the legibility, readability, and visibility of the wayfinding signage system designed by Studio Nusae in 2022. The results indicate that the existing signage design is fairly effective in helping visitors find their desired locations. However, improvements are needed in terms of readability and signage placement. The study concludes that while the wayfinding signage system at Taman Ismail Marzuki is quite effective in assisting visitors, further evaluation and enhancements are necessary to ensure better effectiveness. These findings are expected to provide insights for managers and graphic designers to optimize wayfinding systems in other public areas.
