Perancangan Ilustrasi Saintifik Berbasis Sekuen sebagai Media Komplementer dalam Publikasi Artikel Ilmiah

Ilmu pengetahuan disampaikan melalui penerbitan jurnal ilmiah dengan memanfaatkan kelebihan yang dimiliki ilustrasi saintifik yang memenuhi syarat seperti akurasi yang baik dan faktual. Ilustrasi saintifik termasuk ke dalam kelompok figure dan dapat dikembangkan bentuknya menjadi sekuensial. Dengan mengadopsi aspek berupa alur penceritaan dalam komik, maka ilustrasi sekuensial dapat menggambarkan temuan dalam riset akademik secara efektif dan mendetail. Perancangan ilustrasi saintifik berbasis sekuen mengacu pada model konstruksi penceritaan visual Zpalanzani, yang membagi aspek penceritaaan visual menjadi aspek tak teraga, teraga, dan sekuen. Perancangan yang berlangsung dalam penelitian ini berlangsung secara paralel dengan proses penulisan artikel “Microarray patches for managing infectious at a global scale,” sebagai menjadi objek kajian utama. Hasil penelitian adalah model tahapan perancangan ilustrasi saintifik berbasis sekuen sebagai media komplementer dalam publikasi artikel ilmiah.
