Abstract

The Corona Virus Disease-19 pandemic in Indonesia is growing very rapidly and transmitting through droplets that come out of the mouth and nose. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the use of masks to reduce the transmission rate of the virus. Requirement for masks has certainly increased so that many business actors, such as convection, are producing masks in large quantities. This study aims to determine the quality of cloth masks by identifying the defects that occur in the product, the root of the problem, and the solutions given in Araluze Konveksi. The data used are secondary data in the form of product defect data for 30 days obtained from Araluze Konveksi. This study was analyzed using a control chart, pareto diagram, fishbone diagram, and calculation of the DPMO value. Obtained a sigma value of 3.39% with the highest type of defect that is untidy stitches. After knowing the cause of the defect, a recommendation is given to reduce the zero defect.
