Author Guidelines

Thank you for choosing to submit your manuscript to JBLI: Journal of Culture and Linguistics. These author guidelines will ensure we have everything required so your manuscript can move smoothly through the peer review process, production, and publication. Please take your time to read and follow the guidelines, as doing so will ensure your manuscript matches the journal requirements.

 

  1. General Requirements

1.1 Language

The text should be written in proper English.

 

1.2 Length of Paper

The manuscript must cover about 3000-8000 words.

 

  1. Word Processing Formats

The manuscript file should be provided in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format only.

 

  1. Organization of Manuscript

The manuscript should follow the following order:

  1. Title
  2. List of authors, their affiliations, and email addresses
  3. Abstract
  4. Keywords
  5. Introduction
  6. Methods
  7. Results & Discussion
  8. Conclusion
  9. Acknowledgements & Declaration
  10. References

 

3.1 Title

The title should be a concise, informative description of the work that accurately reflects the paper’s main scope and content. It should be no more than 15 words in length and not contain abbreviations.

 

3.2 List of authors, their affiliations, and email addresses

Please clearly indicate the full names and affiliations of all authors. Affiliations should include department, university, country, and, if available, the official email address. One of the authors should be designated as the corresponding author, and their email address needs to be included.

 

3.3 Abstract

Abstract should state the purpose of the research, design/methodology/approach briefly, the main results, and major conclusions. It should not exceed 200-250 words. No citations should be included in the abstract.

 

3.4 Keywords

The author should provide appropriate, short keywords immediately after the abstract. The maximum number of keywords is 5. Listing your keywords will help researchers find your work in databases.

 

3.5 Introduction

This section should be concise and define the background, the significance of the research, and the gap between your work and, particularly, the most recent publications. When preparing the introduction, please bear in mind that some readers will not be experts in your field of research.

 

3.6 Methodology

This section should contain detailed information about the procedures and steps followed in the study. It can be divided into subsections if several methods are described.

 

3.7 Results and Discussion

This section presents a comparative or descriptive analysis of the study based on the results/findings, previous literature, and related factors. The results should be presented in a logical sequence, with the most important findings given first and the study’s stated objectives addressed. The author should focus only on new or important aspects of the results. The relevance of the findings to the existing literature or contemporary practice should also be addressed.

 

3.8 Conclusions

The author should clearly explain the research’s important conclusions, highlighting their significance and relevance.

 

3.9 Acknowledgments & Declaration

The author is free to include acknowledgments or not. This section may include the names of people who, in one way or another, contributed to the work. It can also include information on supporting grants, funding sources, and related details.

 

3.10 References

References used in the paper should follow the JBLI style stated in the template and be carefully checked for accuracy and consistency. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list and vice versa. Expect a minimum of 20 references with a minimum of 80% to journal papers. Authors are recommended to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, or similar tools.

Authors who publish their articles in JBLI: Journal of Culture and Linguistics agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain the copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors can enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges and earlier, broader citation of published work.
